Oregon’s Incredible SouthernMOST Coast!
Outstanding weather, natural scenery, recreational and cultural opportunities…

Weather

Our mild climate is extraordinary! Overlooking the Pacific Ocean and protected by the Cape Ferrelo headland, Brookings-Harbor is warmed by the “Chetco Effect” and faces south to catch the sunshine. Brookings-Harbor is known as the “Banana Belt” of the Oregon Coast. Unlike the rest of the region, The town's temperatures range from the 70's during summer days and the 40's in the coldest of winter nights. This makes Brookings quite the anomaly in a region otherwise known for rain and fog.
