Musical HAT WEDNESDAY at the KHUN THAI !

That’s right, it’s musical ‘Hat Wednesday’ this week, October 9th, 6 - 9pm at the Khun Thai Restaurant Lounge. “No hair, no heads bare, get out your best hat and…wear!”

Well, it’s actually not mandatory, but it’ll make for some good fun and grand pictures as we don our own favorite head gear and everybody snaps away with all manner of photo instruments - including me! Even in my tall top hat, it’ll be tough to match this weird guy and his monster topper, pictured posing here, seen trying hard to be seen…

He's whispering in my ear, 'Remember, the annual Chetco Pelican Players Haunted House begins Oct. 18th in Brookings, too!'

Join me Wednesday at the Khun Thai, where all around my hat, I'll be playing some of your favorite songs in a folk, country, blues and pop music finger picking style. Songs such as Steve Winwood's CAN’T FIND MY WAY HOME (actually ‘Blind Faith’ - hats off and fond goodbyes to Ginger Baker), Nilsson’s EVERYBODY’S TALKIN,’ Cat Stevens’ FIRST CUT IS THE DEEPEST, Dylan’s VISIONS OF JOHANNA and HARD RAIN’S A-GONNA FALL, Paul Simon’s FEELIN' GROOVY, John Prine’s PARADISE, Little Feat’s DIXIE CHICKEN and Donovan’s MELLOW YELLOW, besides songs by such artists as Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Robert Palmer, Rod Stewart, Willie Nelson, Gordon Lightfoot, Bert Jansch, Tim Hardin, Jackson Frank, Tim Rose, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Merle Haggard and many more.

Got a favorite artist? Ask me a question about any music luminaries from the 50's to the 90's. As a music journalist once located in London, where all the greats converged, I'm likely to have some manner of vignette. Could have a story and might even know a song - but chances are very good that I'll have met your favorite music luminaries and will have something to say about whomever they might be.

I'll do my utmost to make it a fine evening for you this evening, Wednesday, October 9th from 6 - 8pm at the Khun Thai Restaurant Lounge and bar. Th
