"The Chetco Pelican Players are pleased to announce open auditions for Almost, Maine, a modern romantic comedy by playwright John Cariani. Auditions will take place Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11 at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Avenue, Brookings, at 6:30pm.

THE STORY: Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

Roles are available for men and women of all ages; various backstage crew positions are also available.

Almost, Maine opens Friday, February 7 and will run for three weekends at the Chetco Playhouse. Friday and Saturday performances take place at 7:30pm; Sunday matinees take place at 2:00pm. For more information, please call 541-469-1857."
