Oct. 10 Second Saturday Art Walk scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m.
Venues participating in the monthly event include Ambiance by the Sea, Brian Scott and Signatures galleries, Forecastle Books, Manley Art Center and Semi Aquatic Gallery.
For the past several months, art has been on display at the Port of Brookings Harbor boardwalk. The show, Art at the Port, featured paintings on plywood that were judged by a panel and included People’s Choice Award in three age categories. The winners’ art will be displayed at Manley Art Center during October. During the Art Walk at 4 p.m., Pete Chasar will interview the winners.
In addition, Manley Art Center will display self portraits by members of the Pelican Bay Arts Association. The art center is at 430 Oak St. in Stout Park.
Down on the main street through Brookings, Brian Scott Gallery at 515 Chetco Ave. displays acrylic paintings and mixed media works by Phyllis Earls; Forecastle Books at 547 Chetco Ave. will have woodwork creations by Randy Pearson on display; and Semi Aquatic owner Spencer Reynolds will have his surf art, along with his other creations on display at 654 Chetco Ave.
Ambiance by the Sea at 530 Hemlock St. will feature watercolors by Dana Nelson.
