Jewelry is a deeply powerful form of adornment, encoded in our DNA – a gift of instinct handed down from the intelligence, skills and rich emotional lives of our most ancient ancestors. Since the world began, jewels have been “living things” nourishing us with their imagery and protecting us as talismans.
In this multi-media presentation, Cynthia Renee shows how the earth’s precious gems and metals give us a deep and authentic connection to what has always been and what will come after. We can touch eternity through wearing a million-year-old gem, feel empowered by a resonant design motif and connect to family through a meaningful jewel. When we adorn ourselves in this spirit, we move through the world being all that we are.

About The Artist:
In her presentations, Cynthia distills the lessons of life and success, showing audiences how they can embrace change, quell self-doubt, elude conventional thinking, and foster creativity. Using metaphors from her long and storied romance with the jewels she created her life around, she provides a lively and inspiring take on how life’s indirect route can provide the greatest growth, joy and satisfaction.
Cynthia has gone a mile under the earth into one of two of the world’s palladium mines, visited gem mines in the world’s remote areas, is a multi-time winner of the nation’s most esteemed jewelry design contests and is as comfortable in a remote gem mine as she is at a Park Avenue salon or rural Dairy Queen.
Founded in 1990, Cynthia Renee’s namesake company is a go-to for experienced and novice collectors of gems and jewelry of quality, meaning and virtuosity rarely seen in today’s world of shallow luxury.
Cynthia has served four terms on the Board of Directors of the American Gem Trade Association, an organization promoting Mine-to-Market integrity, Professionalism and Ethics, chairing the Promotion and co-chairing the Spectrum Awards Committees. She is also an author, speaker, mother and inventor of a trademarked system for understanding color.
